Stranger Things Star Couldn't Ride a Bike!

An unexpected hurdle arose during the filming of Stranger Things when actor Finn Wolfhard, who portrays Mike Wheeler, discovered he did not know how to ride a bicycle. This personal limitation posed a significant technical challenge for the production team, who needed Mike to appear proficient on the bike.

To circumvent this issue, the filmmakers resorted to a creative solution. A professional stunt rider was utilized to perform the cycling actions against a green screen. Advanced software was then employed to meticulously track the rider's movements, generating a digital replica of their body. Wolfhard's head was later digitally added by extracting it from other footage and seamlessly integrating it with the animated physique.

The background elements and final touches were added to complete the scene, which ultimately lasts only a few seconds but required extensive post-production work. This meticulous process, despite its complexity, ensured the character's actions were realized convincingly on screen for the audience.
