Largest Oxford Choir to Join Stornoway Album Launch

Indie folk band Stornoway is preparing to launch their fifth album, 'Beyonder,' with an unprecedented musical event. They intend to assemble the largest impromptu choir in Oxford's history for the album's release concert. The performance is scheduled to take place at the renowned Sheldonian Theatre in September.

A unique "scratch choir" will be formed, comprising volunteers who will engage in a dedicated workshop on the day of the concert. This intensive session will equip them to sing in four-part harmony alongside the Oxford trio. Bassist Oli Steadman highlighted the band's desire to craft a truly memorable and distinctive experience for their dedicated fans, making this album launch a landmark occasion.
