Stephen Wilson Jr. Channels Pixies on New Anthem

Stephen Wilson Jr. has unveiled his latest single, "Hardwired," a collaboration with Miranda Lambert. This new track prominently features an interpolation of the Pixies' seminal song "Where Is My Mind?" from their debut album.

Wilson Jr. describes his music as rooted in indie-rock sensibilities while maintaining a focus on country songwriting from a rural, blue-collar perspective. "Hardwired" delves into the struggles of constant hard living and exhaustion.

This isn't Wilson Jr.'s first foray into blending genres; his previous work includes covers of grunge and alternative rock hits. "Hardwired" is slated for inclusion on his upcoming album, the follow-up to 2023's "Son of Dad."

The artist is currently touring and is scheduled to perform at the St. Augustine Theater in Florida on August 7.
