Stephen Kalyn, a rising Canadian actor, has joined the cast of 'The Housemaid's Secret,' the highly anticipated sequel to last year's hit film. Kalyn will portray a character named Brock in the movie, which is slated for a December 17, 2027, release.
Kirsten Dunst and Michele Morrone are also set to star in the sequel. Dunst, who joined the cast in March, will play Wendy, while Morrone will reprise his role as Enzo from the original film. Paul Anthony Kelly is cast as Douglas Garrick.
The film is based on Freida McFadden's novel, the second in her 'The Housemaid' series. The first film, released in December 2025, achieved significant box office success, earning over $126 million in North America and $400 million globally.
Filmmaker Paul Feig, directing the sequel, commented on Dunst's casting, noting her suitability for the role. Freida McFadden has also authored a third book in the series, 'The Housemaid Is Watching,' published in 2024.
