Stella made it clear that she respects her sisters' privacy and that it is her "job as a sister" to love and protect them. She urged those who are "way out of line with disregard for [her] feelings" to stop attacking her and instead check Dolly's own social media pages for updates.

Addressing the concerns directly, Dolly Parton herself has since posted a video reassuring her nearly 8 million Instagram followers that she is "okay" and "working hard." The country icon acknowledged the worry over her health but emphasized that reports of her being sicker than she is have been "greatly overstated."
