Tiruppur Subramaniam Slams Stars' Promotion Apathy

Tamil film financier Tiruppur Subramaniam has voiced strong criticism regarding the practice of certain top actors, specifically naming Ajith Kumar and Nayanthara, for consistently skipping movie promotions. He pointed out a perceived double standard, as these actors reportedly do promote their personal ventures, such as Ajith's racing team and films bankrolled by Nayanthara's production house. Subramaniam urged producers to take a firmer stance against this behavior.

Subramaniam elaborated on Ajith Kumar's decision to become a film producer. He suggested that Ajith ventured into production because producers were unwilling to meet his high salary demands, which he refused to lower. The financier stressed that while Ajith is not a lesser star, the current market conditions make it difficult for producers to afford such salaries. He noted that stars are often willing to work for free on their own productions but are reluctant to agree to profit-sharing models with others.
