John Mayer will receive the Philanthropist of the Year award for his founding of the Heart and Armor Foundation for Veterans Health. Since its inception, the foundation has donated over $5 million towards research and support for veterans' mental health and community reintegration.
Stephen and Ayesha Curry are also being honored as Philanthropists of the Year for their Eat. Learn. Play. Foundation. Launched in 2019 in Oakland, California, this nonprofit has provided over 25 million meals and invested $20 million to enhance literacy and create safe spaces for children.
The Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson's Research will be recognized with the Philanthropic Organization of the Year award. Established in 2000, the foundation is dedicated to finding a cure for Parkinson's disease, with which Michael J. Fox was diagnosed in 1991.
The summit is scheduled to take place on July 22 in Los Angeles, highlighting the impactful work of these individuals and organizations.
