Charlotte Gainsbourg, Edgar Ramirez, and Annabelle Wallis are slated to star in Argyris Papadimitropoulos' upcoming feature, "Oh, How Fun!". This satirical comedy is set against the backdrop of the picturesque Greek Island of Antiparos.
The film will follow the opulent Skidmore family and their guests during a lavish vacation. What begins as a series of languid afternoons, exquisite meals, and playful pranks quickly descends into chaos when a prank backfires spectacularly.
"Oh, How Fun!" is described as a biting satire on excess, entitlement, and the human tendency to justify questionable actions. It aims to expose the absurdities of wealth and a detachment from reality, drawing parallels to "The White Lotus."
Argyris Papadimitropoulos, known for his work in contemporary Greek cinema, is directing the feature. He expressed interest in exploring human behavior under pressure and the unintentional revelations of characters.
The ensemble cast also includes Lena Headey and Angeliki Papoulia. International sales are managed by Lucky Number, while CAA Media Finance co-represents U.S. rights. The film is an international co-production involving entities from Greece, Canada, and the U.K., with production expected to commence later this year.
