Star Wars fans can anticipate a new eight-episode limited anime series, Star Wars: Visions Presents The Ninth Jedi, premiering on August 5, 2026. The series will be available for streaming on Disney+ and Hulu.
This new installment builds upon the narratives of "The Ninth Jedi" and "Child of Hope" from the Star Wars: Visions anthology. The story centers on Lah Kara, who is undertaking Jedi training under Margrave Juro. Her journey of self-discovery begins as she embarks on a quest with a small group of trainees, led by Juro, to rescue her father.
The production features direction by Shunsuke Tada and supervision by Kenji Kamiyama. Both English and Japanese dubs will be available, with a mix of returning and new voice actors for each.
The trailer and teaser poster were unveiled by supervising director Kenji Kamiyama, director Shunsuke Tada, and producer Hitoshi Ito at Anime Expo 2026 in Los Angeles.
