SS Rajamouli's Varanasi: A Multiverse Adventure Awaits

SS Rajamouli has unveiled intriguing details about his upcoming film, Varanasi, describing it as a journey that transcends conventional boundaries. The filmmaker explained that the movie explores diverse worlds, different time periods, and incorporates mythological elements, including giants and deities. This ambitious narrative aims to take audiences on an extensive adventure.

The film's emotional anchor, however, remains firmly rooted in human relationships. Rajamouli highlighted that the core of the story revolves around the profound emotions between a father and son, as well as the love shared between a man and a woman. These personal connections drive the expansive plot.

Starring Mahesh Babu as Rudhra and Priyanka Chopra Jonas as Mandakini, with Prithviraj Sukumaran as the antagonist Kumbha, Varanasi is co-written by V Vijayendra Prasad and SS Kanchi. This project marks Rajamouli's first feature film since the monumental success of his 2022 blockbuster, RRR.
