Filmmaker Pankaj Parashar has shared a harrowing account of actress Sridevi's health struggles during the filming of 'Meri Biwi Ka Jawab Nahin'. Parashar recounted that Sridevi, under pressure to lose weight for another film, adopted an extreme diet, even eliminating salt, which caused her blood pressure to plummet.
During a shoot for 'Meri Biwi Ka Jawab Nahin', Sridevi suddenly fainted, hitting her head and losing consciousness for approximately 20 minutes. The incident resulted in a facial injury and the loss of a tooth, halting the film's production schedule.
The film, which also featured Akshay Kumar, faced numerous setbacks due to Sridevi's health incident and other production issues. The financier withdrew, and the producer later passed away, leading to the project being abandoned.
The incomplete film was eventually released in 2004 with existing footage, while the climax remained unfinished, a detail also noted by Akshay Kumar. This recollection aligns with similar accounts from Sridevi's husband, Boney Kapoor, who previously spoke of her struggles with extreme dieting and resulting blackouts.
