Malayalam Star Sreenivasan's Life and Love Remembered

Malayalam actor Sreenivasan passed away on December 20, 2025, after experiencing a sudden medical emergency. He had been receiving home treatment for a long-term illness before his condition worsened. His passing has brought to light his remarkable love story with his wife, Vimala, who remained a steadfast companion throughout his life.

The couple's unique romance began at a bus stop in Kannur district, where they first encountered each other. Their relationship blossomed from 1974 onwards. Despite initial hesitations from Vimala's father, who worried about her marrying an actor, Sreenivasan and Vimala eventually tied the knot on January 13, 1984, after a ten-year courtship.

Sreenivasan is survived by Vimala and their two sons, Vineeth and Dhyan, both of whom have established careers in the film industry. Vimala often spoke of Sreenivasan's humility and innocence, noting his unwavering support for her personal freedoms.
