Both series are currently in production, with new seasons scheduled to debut in Q4 2026 and throughout 2027.
This decision aligns with Paramount's programming strategy, which emphasizes consolidating and amplifying top franchises across its cable brands. This approach, overseen by Chair George Cheeks, prioritizes popular shows like SpongeBob and PAW Patrol. Recent renewals also include PAW Patrol and Rubble & Crew, while Dora and Tales Of The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles were canceled.
New episodes of SpongeBob SquarePants are currently airing on Fridays at 5 pm, with The Patrick Star Show joining the schedule at 6 pm. The SpongeBob SquarePants franchise continues to be a dominant force, recognized as the #1 cross-platform franchise for kids aged 6-11 year-to-date.
