A new Splatoon spin-off, Splatoon Raiders, is set to launch on July 23rd for the Nintendo Switch 2. This new adventure will be available digitally for $49.99. Announced last year, Splatoon Raiders follows the recent release of Rhythm Heaven Groove, which is scheduled for July 2nd.
The game introduces a robust character creator, allowing players to customize their hero, known as the Mechanic, with various body types, hairstyles, and facial features. Gameplay footage showcases the Mechanic navigating an expansive open world in a mech, equipped with ink cannons. Players, as Squidlings, can utilize ink-based abilities and power-ups, including the iconic ink roller.
Nintendo describes Splatoon Raiders as primarily a single-player focused experience, but it will also feature online and local co-op for up to three additional players. The developers assure that the game's balance and difficulty will adjust whether played solo or with friends. As players explore and defeat enemies, they will uncover treasure and expand their map.
In addition to the game, Nintendo will also release a triple pack of Splatoon amiibo figures featuring the Deep Cut characters: Shiver, Frye, and Big Man. These amiibo will be available alongside the game's launch.
