The upcoming Marvel movie "Spider-Man: Brand New Day" will feature the first on-screen MCU pairing of Tom Holland's Spider-Man and Jon Bernthal's Punisher. This cinematic reunion follows a decade-long personal and professional history between the two actors.
Recently, Jon Bernthal posted a throwback photo on Instagram with Tom Holland, reminiscing about their time working together on the 2017 Irish film "Pilgrimage." Bernthal praised Holland, calling him "one of a kind" and expressing pride in his accomplishments. This shared past may heighten fan excitement for their dynamic in "Brand New Day."
Holland himself has hyped the Spider-Man and Punisher pairing, calling it his "favorite dynamic" and describing it as a "big brother/little brother rivalry." The film "Brand New Day" is positioned as a "rebirth" for Holland's Peter Parker, set four years after the events of "No Way Home."
Beyond their MCU roles, Holland and Bernthal are confirmed to star together in two films scheduled for 2026. They will both appear in Christopher Nolan's "The Odyssey," with Holland reportedly playing Telemachus and Bernthal as Menelaus. "The Odyssey" is slated for release on July 17, 2026, followed by "Spider-Man: Brand New Day" on July 31, 2026.
