In a recent announcement, Marvel Animation has revealed that the second season of its animated series 'Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man' is set to premiere on Disney+ in fall 2026. The news came at New York Comic Con, where a trailer showcasing the upcoming season was shown to fans.
The trailer for 'Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man' Season 2 has teased the introduction of the Venom symbiote, as well as the return of Charlie Cox's Daredevil character. This animated series features a version of Spider-Man that is distinct from the Marvel Cinematic Universe, with a different Peter Parker and supporting cast.
Instead of Robert Downey Jr.'s Tony Stark mentoring the young hero, this iteration of Spider-Man has Norman Osborn, the villainous Green Goblin, as his internship provider at Oscorp. Peter Parker's new friends include influencer Harry Osborn and secret witchcraft user Nico Minoru, rather than Zendaya's Mary-Jane and Jacob Batalon's Ned.
The first season of 'Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man' ended on several cliffhangers, including the arrival of the Venom symbiote from another dimension and the revelation that Peter's father, Richard, is actually alive and in prison. Fans can expect these storylines to be further explored in the upcoming second season, which promises to deliver even more excitement and surprises for Spider-Man fans.
