Spider-Man Leaked Footage Sparks Producer's Ire

Four-and-a-half minutes of unfinished footage from 'Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse,' the concluding chapter of the acclaimed animated trilogy, has been leaked and is circulating online. Producer Christopher Miller took to social media platform X to express his dissatisfaction, stating he is "not a fan of leaks of unfinished, not fully rendered footage."

The film is scheduled for theatrical release on June 18, 2027. The leaked material appears to combine opening scenes with trailer-style montages, picking up directly after the cliffhanger ending of 'Across the Spider-Verse.' Despite the leak, some fans have responded positively, expressing excitement about the potential of the finished version.

'Beyond the Spider-Verse' is helmed by writer-producers Phil Lord and Miller, with contributions from writer David Callaham. The directing team includes Justin K. Thompson and Bob Persichetti. Previously, Miller described the film as the "most emotional Spider-Verse film we have ever made," and Lord called it the "most spectacular." The franchise, which began with the Oscar-winning 'Into the Spider-Verse' in 2018, has been celebrated for its innovative animation. The previous installment, 'Across the Spider-Verse,' achieved significant commercial success, grossing over $690 million in 2023.
