Spider-Noir trailer drops, villains surface

A new trailer for the Nicolas Cage-led Spider-Noir series has emerged, offering the first glimpse of its primary antagonists. This array of villains includes classic comic characters whose origins trace back to the early works of Stan Lee and Steve Ditko.

Among the confirmed villains is Silvermane, portrayed as an Irish mob boss with a complex history with Ben Reilly. In the comics, Silvermane's pursuit of immortality and later his transformation into a cyborg highlight his ongoing obsession with age.

Tombstone, also known as Lonnie Lincoln, is presented as a World War I veteran driven to the top by any means. Comic lore establishes Tombstone as a vicious crime boss and albino who previously menaced Robbie Robertson and served Kingpin.

Flint Marko, or Sandman, appears as one of Silvermane's bodyguards, grappling with his powers that are draining his life force. Sandman's comic origins are rooted in a tragic past involving bullying and a desperate acquisition of powers through a nuclear site encounter.

The final revealed villain is Megawatt, or Dirk Leydon, who is characterized as a disruptive force solely concerned with his own desires. Megawatt, a minor villain from the Spider-Man Unlimited series, possesses Electro-like abilities and a history of depleting energy reserves.
