Spider-Man: Brand New Day is set for a major box office performance, with its China release date of July 29, 2026, preceding the U.S. premiere on July 31, 2026. The film has already become the sixth Hollywood movie to surpass $10 million in pre-sales in China since the pandemic began.

As of Monday, the film had garnered $12.7 million in Chinese pre-sales, a figure that has already beaten the entire opening-day earnings of "Deadpool & Wolverine" and "Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3" in the territory. With continued momentum, "Brand New Day" is on track for a $40 million+ opening in China, potentially reaching $15 million in cumulative pre-sales.

Globally, "Brand New Day" has achieved over $60 million in North American pre-sales and exceeded $120 million worldwide. Projections suggest a $300 million domestic opening and an $800 million debut globally. The crucial China release may enable the film to surpass the $2 billion worldwide mark, a feat not achieved by its predecessor "Spider-Man: No Way Home" which lacked a Chinese release.
