Spider-Man Drops as Awarapan 2 Dominates Box Office

Spider-Man: Brand New Day has seen a notable decline in its box office collections in India, with its third Friday earning an estimated Rs 3.90 crore net. This figure represents the lowest single-day collection for the film so far. The decline of approximately 27.8% from the previous day's Rs 5.40 crore net signals a slowdown in its theatrical run.

This drop in performance comes as the film faces stiff competition from the newly released Bollywood movie, Awarapan 2. Emraan Hashmi's return to the screen has generated considerable interest, with the film reportedly achieving a strong opening day collection of around Rs 21 crore net. This marks the biggest first-day collection of Hashmi's career.

Despite the recent downturn, Spider-Man: Brand New Day has accumulated a substantial net collection of approximately Rs 447.30 crore in India, solidifying its position as the highest-grossing Hollywood movie in the country. The film's performance in its third week will be closely watched to see if it can surpass the Rs 550 crore mark.
