The annual Spalding Pumpkin Festival is scheduled for Saturday, offering a day of free family entertainment to celebrate the season leading up to Halloween. Attendees can also enjoy complimentary fairground rides.
Previously recognized as Britain's pumpkin capital due to the significant cultivation of pumpkins in the region each year, Spalding will host the festival from 11:00 to 15:00 BST. The event aims to provide families with a delightful day out in the town centre.
Activities will be spread across Hall Place, Sheep Market, and the Market Place. In Hall Place, sculptor Jonathan Nicholls will be creating impressive pumpkin sculptures. Sheep Market will feature free traditional carousel rides, a ball run challenge, and opportunities for creating vegetable critters. The regular Saturday Market will also convene in Market Place.
