- Creators initially proposed a show centered on Mr. Hankey.
- Fox executives rejected the Mr. Hankey concept due to its nature.
- This rejection led to the development of the "South Park" series.

Matt Parker and Trey Stone, the creators of "South Park," initially envisioned a series centered on the character Mr. Hankey. This concept, called "The Mr. Hankey Show," would have focused on the sewer-dwelling mascot. The idea was pitched to Fox executive Brian Graden.
However, Graden rejected the proposal, reportedly stating he would not air content featuring "poo" on his network. This decision by Fox executives led Parker and Stone to pivot their creative direction.
Consequently, the creators developed "South Park," which debuted and has since run for an impressive 28 seasons. The show, known for its satirical take on societal issues and pop culture, continues to feature Mr. Hankey as a recurring character.
