Ganguly to Host Bigg Boss Bangla: Cricket Legend Enters Reality TV

Former Indian cricket captain Sourav Ganguly will host the upcoming Bigg Boss Bangla edition, as JioStar announced the launch of six regional versions of the reality show. These new seasons, spanning Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam, and Bangla, are set to premiere from September 2026 on the JioStar television network and JioHotstar. This marks a significant expansion, bringing together six language editions during the same festive period.

Alongside Ganguly, a stellar lineup of hosts including Salman Khan, Vijay Sethupathi, Nagarjuna, Kichcha Sudeepa, and Mohanlal will lead their respective regional shows. JioStar also unveiled a coffee table book, 'India's Bigg Reality,' celebrating two decades of the show's journey, highlighting audience engagement and brand collaborations.

The franchise reported significant viewership in 2025, reaching over 500 million viewers and accumulating more than 438 billion viewing minutes. Interactive features like 24x7 live feeds and extensive voting mechanisms contributed to over 9.32 billion votes cast on JioHotstar. Furthermore, Bigg Boss generated substantial social media activity, including over 1.7 billion engagements and 30 million user-generated memes in 2025.
