Sophie Monk in Court Over Manager Split

Sophie Monk, the host of Love Island, is currently engaged in a legal dispute with her former manager, Sean Anderson. The separation from Anderson's 22 Management, which occurred in January after six years, has escalated into a court battle. The case is scheduled to return to Sydney District Court next month.

Sean Anderson confirmed the situation as a "business dispute," stating that while his agency enjoyed managing Monk for six years, a disagreement over money has necessitated court intervention. Both Monk and Anderson's agency feel the other party owes them funds, leading to this legal action despite prior attempts at negotiation.

Monk's departure from 22 Management was noted earlier this year, following her quiet removal of the agency from her social media profiles and mutual unfollowing with Anderson. This legal entanglement arises from a disagreement over finances, with the exact details yet to be publicly disclosed.

This split also involved Monk's previous manager, Titus Day. Monk had moved to Anderson's agency six years prior, after previously being represented by Day. Her decision reportedly caused a fallout between Day and Anderson, former friends of twenty years, after Monk terminated her contract with Day's firm in December 2019.
