Sony Pictures TV Seals UK Unscripted Deal

Sony Pictures Television Nonfiction has significantly bolstered its U.K. operations through an overall deal with successful unscripted producers Simon Shalgosky and Daniel Brookes. These producers have been instrumental in crafting major U.K. television hits such as "The X Factor," "Love Island," and "Britain's Got Talent."

As part of this new agreement, Shalgosky and Brookes have established their new production banner, Rebel Minds Media, under the Sony Pictures Television Nonfiction umbrella. The deal, announced by heads Eli Holzman and Aaron Saidman, is set to commence in 2026, signaling a long-term investment in British format specialists.

Both producers expressed enthusiasm for the collaboration, highlighting Sony's global reach as a key factor in accelerating the development and launch of original intellectual property. They aim to create innovative formats with strong conceptual hooks and distinctive visual identities.
