Emmy nominee Charlie Hunnam is set to lead "Legends," an upcoming limited series at FX. This meta-thriller reunites the principal cast of the acclaimed series "Sons of Anarchy," with the actors portraying themselves.
The series centers on the "Sons of Anarchy" cast as they gather for a fan convention over a decade after the show's conclusion. During the event, the lines between their past fictional roles and their current reality begin to dissolve. The actors find themselves confronting a real-world danger that surpasses anything they experienced on screen.
Developed and executive produced by Hunnam, who also stars, "Legends" has been in development at FX for at least three years. The project also features Jonathan Groff as a developer and executive producer. The reunion brings together Ron Perlman, Katey Sagal, Maggie Siff, Mark Boone Junior, Tommy Flanagan, Kim Coates, and Theo Rossi, with additional casting to be announced.
"Sons of Anarchy" concluded its seven-season run on FX in 2014. Hunnam recently garnered critical acclaim and his first Emmy nomination for his role in FX's "Monster: The Ed Gein Story." FX Entertainment President Nick Grad praised Hunnam's vision for "Legends," calling it a "love letter to the series" with a "fun meta twist."
