Saban Films has acquired the U.S. distribution rights for Houston Bone's horror film, 'Son of Sara: Volume 1.' The movie follows a pregnant woman who attends a dinner party that turns into a violent and terrifying experience.
The film, which had its premiere at the Blood in the Snow Festival in November 2025, stars Chloe Van Landschoot, Tymika Tafari, Garrett Hnatiuk, and Jane Moffat. Van Landschoot earned the festival's award for Best Lead Performance in a Feature Film for her role.
Directed and written by Houston Bone, known for the popular web series 'Teenagers,' this is his latest directorial work. His previous feature, 'I Don't Know Who You Are,' premiered at TIFF in 2023. The film was produced by Martine Brouillet and financed by Grisly Productions LLC with support from Telefilm Canada.
