Soleil Moon Frye's Doc Honors Lost Love Story

Soleil Moon Frye's documentary, "Werewolf in the Waves," is set to honor the memory of Seth Binzer, also known as Shifty Shellshock, a musician from Crazy Town.

Appian Way, Leonardo DiCaprio's production company, has joined the project as executive producers, alongside Emmy winner Dax Dasilva. Frye directed much of the film on her iPhone, initially intending to document Crazy Town's comeback tour.

The documentary evolved into a love story, but tragically, Binzer's relapse into drug addiction altered its course. He passed away from an accidental overdose in the summer of 2024.

Frye expressed her gratitude for Dasilva's involvement, emphasizing his commitment to impactful storytelling. She hopes the film will inspire conversations about addiction and mental health, encouraging empathy and understanding.

Dasilva stated his admiration for Frye's unfiltered perspective on addiction and loss, recognizing its connection to resilience and love for millions affected by drug addiction. He aims for the story to foster greater understanding and encourage those in need to seek help.
