In a remarkable career transition, Devan Y, a software professional of ten years, has made his directorial debut with the supernatural romance film 'Krishna Leela'. The movie, which Devan also stars in, was completed in just 29 days, a testament to his dedication and vision.
Devan's journey to cinema has been a slow but intentional one. While maintaining his responsibilities in the software industry, he nurtured his passion for filmmaking, becoming a certified nutritionist and stock market trader along the way. "I've always been passionate about movies, but I also had responsibilities towards my family," Devan shares. "I never let my mind stay idle -- I kept learning new things, knowing that one day, an opportunity would come."
That opportunity arrived with 'Krishna Leela'. When the producers offered Devan the lead role, he took a week to consider it, making a few changes to the story before directing the film himself. The movie, which also features Dhanya Balakrishna, Tulasi Shivamani and Babloo Prithiveeraj in key roles, has received a positive audience response, making the long wait worthwhile for Devan. "After ten years of preparation, this truly feels like a dream come true," he says.
