Sobhita Dhulipala: 'Vettuvam's' badass woman starts fights!

Sobhita Dhulipala is preparing to captivate audiences in Pa. Ranjith's highly anticipated Tamil film, 'Vettuvam'. In this project, she embodies the character of Rathi, an unapologetic woman who actively engages in the film's action sequences.

Dhulipala revealed that Rathi is not confined to an emotional role, unlike conventional portrayals in action cinema. The actress highlighted that her character initiates many of the film's fights, portraying a strong and daring woman who pursues her ambitions fearlessly.

The actress also reflected on her connection with characters, seeing herself as a manifestation of a universal consciousness. This perspective allows her to connect deeply with every role she undertakes, regardless of its nature.

Having previously made her Tamil debut in Mani Ratnam's epic 'Ponniyin Selvan', Dhulipala expressed her delight in working with two iconic filmmakers from distinct cinematic backgrounds. She finds joy in exploring varied storytelling spaces, considering it a dream for any actor.

'Vettuvam' is Pa. Ranjith's first pan-India film, scheduled for release in Tamil, Telugu, Hindi, Malayalam, and Kannada. The movie features an ensemble cast including Kalaiyarasan and Shabeer Kallarakkal, with music by GV Prakash Kumar and cinematography by Roopesh Shaji.
