Summary
- Bobby Moynihan's strange encounter with Val Kilmer
- Kilmer randomly gave Moynihan boxes of Usain Bolt's free shoes
- Moynihan couldn't explain why Kilmer did this

In a recent interview, former Saturday Night Live cast member Bobby Moynihan shared a peculiar encounter he had with actor Val Kilmer. According to Moynihan, back in 2012 when Usain Bolt appeared on SNL, Kilmer showed up at Moynihan's dressing room with several boxes of the free shoes Bolt had given out to the cast and crew. Kilmer then asked Moynihan if he wanted the extra shoes.
Moynihan said he immediately accepted the shoes, but was left completely baffled by Kilmer's strange request. "I can't explain it. I don't know why he needed so many Usain Bolt shoes. He didn't know what size they were," Moynihan recalled. The former SNL star added that he was "glad that Val Kilmer got what he needed in that moment" and that the interaction "couldn't have been more perfect."
Kilmer, who passed away in April 2022 at the age of 65, was known for his iconic role as Batman in the 1995 film Batman Forever. While some have considered him an iconoclast and difficult actor at times, his daughter recently stated that the perception of him wasn't entirely accurate, as he was a very private and serious actor. Moynihan's bizarre encounter with Kilmer appears to be another example of the actor's unique and unpredictable behavior.
