Saturday Night Live recently featured a parody of NASA's historic Artemis II mission, which marked the first human journey to the moon since the Apollo era. The comedy sketch depicted NASA astronaut Victor Glover, played by Colman Domingo, struggling to deliver a heartfelt reflection on the mission while aboard the Orion spacecraft.
His attempts at introspection were continually undermined by his crewmates, including a floating Pringles can and a grossed-out display of a sneeze in microgravity. Other crew members, played by Marcello Hernández and Mikey Day, also contributed to the comedic chaos.
The actual Artemis II mission launched on April 1 and concluded on April 10 with a splashdown in the Pacific Ocean. The mission successfully sent astronauts farther than ever before, completing a flyby of the moon's far side and collecting valuable data for Earth-based scientists.
