Saturday Night Live's latest season, Season 52, commenced on Halloween night, welcoming up-and-coming star Inde Navarrette as its host. The show also featured Gracie Abrams as the musical guest for this highly anticipated return episode. During her opening monologue, Navarrette made a noticeable reference to her work in the horror genre. She also seemed to allude to a prior controversial monologue delivered by Shane Gillis. Navarrette's remark about wearing a 'little w***e outfit' to the gym was brief but notable. This moment was perceived as the show's attempt to address and move beyond a recent public controversy that surfaced during the show's hiatus.
