SNL Loses Legendary Music Booker After 30 Years

Brian Siedlecki, who has been the music booker for Saturday Night Live for nearly three decades, is leaving the program. Sources indicate that his contract was not renewed, marking the end of a significant tenure that began with him as an intern in 1996. Siedlecki was credited with maintaining SNL's status as a premier destination for musical artists promoting new releases.

During his nearly 30 years with the show, Siedlecki facilitated bookings for a vast array of artists, from legendary musicians like Paul McCartney to contemporary stars such as Olivia Rodrigo. His departure comes as SNL prepares for its 52nd season, scheduled to begin on September 26. The show has seen other talent changes recently, including cast member Chloe Fineman's exit in July.

NBC has declined to comment on staffing changes. Siedlecki's email is no longer active, with an automated response directing inquiries to Keri Powers and Rebecca Schwartz. Both Powers and Schwartz are also established bookers with SNL, having joined the program in 2014 and 2015, respectively. They are expected to assume Siedlecki's booking responsibilities.
