A snake rescue operation took place at Salman Khan's Galaxy Apartments in Mumbai's Bandra West on Monday. The reptile, identified as a Dhaman snake, commonly known as the Indian rat snake, was found near the car parking shutter.
Upon sighting the snake, a police constable on duty alerted a local snake rescuer named Vicky Dubey. Dubey arrived at the scene and expertly handled the non-venomous snake, securing it safely without any harm to people or the animal.
The Indian rat snake is typically found in urban and semi-urban areas and preys on rodents. Snake sightings are common in Mumbai, especially during monsoon season, prompting authorities to advise residents to contact trained rescuers instead of attempting self-rescue.
