In a recent interview, former actress and current politician Smriti Irani looked back on her early days in the entertainment industry with fondness and humor. Irani, who is still best known for her role as Tulsi in the popular TV show "Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi," revealed that she first met Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan through her husband, Zubin Irani. Irani shared that her husband knew Khan, and she would often pester him to arrange an interview with the actor. When she finally met Khan, he jokingly told her, "Listen, don't get married. I'm telling you, don't do it."
Irani also reminisced about her very first day on a film set, which also involved Shah Rukh Khan. She was a silent extra in a movie with Khan and Juhi Chawla, and she recalled being told to simply stand in a black dress, the same one worn by Manisha Koirala in a song from the film "Akele Hum Akele Tum."
Another amusing story Irani shared was about her first meeting with Salman Khan's father, veteran writer Salim Khan. Irani's husband and Salman were classmates, and when she first met Salim Khan, he scolded both of them for stealing his car and driving off. Irani said she didn't know where to look as the two men sheepishly looked down.
