Veteran actor Smita Jaykar revealed that Rhea Chakraborty had contacted her for spiritual healing for Sushant Singh Rajput during his hospitalization for depression. Jaykar, who had previously worked with Rhea and discussed spiritual matters, agreed to help.
During her interaction with Sushant, Jaykar found him pleasant and noted his willingness to participate in a healing process at an ashram. However, the healing session never materialized. Jaykar recalled receiving a final message from Rhea stating Sushant was deteriorating, and expressed her regret that he couldn't receive the intended help.
Jaykar also expressed her belief that Rhea genuinely wanted to support Sushant. She recalled Rhea as a sweet girl who was with Sushant during his difficult time and subsequently faced significant scrutiny. Jaykar empathized with Rhea's situation.
Sushant Singh Rajput was found deceased at his Bandra residence in June 2020. Rhea Chakraborty faced drug-related charges in connection with the case and was imprisoned for 28 days before being granted bail. The CBI later filed a closure report in 2025, finding no evidence against Rhea or her family.
