"Sleepless Nights," a six-part female-led spy thriller, is currently in post-production and expected for delivery by the end of 2026. Set against the backdrop of Paris's vibrant nightlife, the series is directed by Bérénice Eveno, known for her work on "The Handmaid's Tale." The narrative centers on Céline, portrayed by Sawsan Abes, a woman who uses seduction as a tool in her decade-long career at an upscale Paris strip club. Her life takes a perilous turn when a client is revealed to be an arms dealer connected to a terrorist plot.
Recruited by France's domestic intelligence agency, DGSI, Céline is drawn into a high-stakes undercover operation. With no prior training or backup, she must navigate the criminal underworld she knows intimately to help intelligence agent Clément Meyer thwart a terrorist attack in Paris. The series boasts an ensemble cast including Jérémie Laheurte and Sabrina Ouazani.
Created by Inan Çiçek and Florian Spitzer, the series is co-written by David Robert and Charlotte Robb. It is commissioned by NBCUniversal for France, Spain, Poland, Belgium, Switzerland, and former Yugoslavia. SND is handling international sales, launching the series at Mipcom in Cannes.
