SkyShowtime is set to launch its inaugural original animated series, "Hidden Islands," later this year. The narrative centers on three children who find themselves on a group of mystical islands, discovering they are out of sync with the rest of the world and hold a secret vital for global salvation.
The creation of "Hidden Islands" was inspired by a shared love for nature and storytelling. Developed during COVID-19, the project emphasizes adventure alongside crucial lessons in sustainability and planetary care. The series is produced by OYA Copenhagen and supported by the Public Service Fund in Denmark, with development financing from Midnight Sun in Sweden.
