Sky Acquires Crime Thriller 'Blood on Snow' for UK

Sky has secured the U.K. distribution rights for 'Blood on Snow,' a crime thriller adapted from Jo Nesbø's bestselling novel. Directed by Cary Joji Fukunaga, known for 'No Time To Die' and 'True Detective,' the film boasts an ensemble cast including Benedict Cumberbatch, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Eva Green, Emma Laird, and Ben Mendelsohn.
The movie is set to premiere in the U.K. as a Sky Original. Following the successful acquisition of Nesbø's adaptation 'The Hanging Sun,' Sky plans to release 'Blood on Snow' in U.K. cinemas in 2027.
Penned by Nesbø himself with Ben Power, 'Blood on Snow' plunges into Oslo's underworld. It centers on Olav, a highly skilled hitman whose moral compass is tested when he's ordered to kill his handler's wife. This conflict leads him to betray his handler and seek an alliance amidst a dangerous gang war.
