Alexander Skarsgård: Fatherhood Changes Career

Alexander Skarsgård shared that fatherhood has prompted a significant shift in his career priorities. He stated that he now must balance his demanding acting profession with the needs of his family life in Sweden.

Previously, Skarsgård embraced the itinerant nature of his work, describing it as being part of a "traveling circus." However, he now emphasizes the importance of being present for his child, acknowledging that he cannot be as selfish or narcissistic as he once was.

The actor, who is raising his child with Swedish actress Tuva Novotny, first publicly confirmed his status as a father in March 2023. This acknowledgment came during a red carpet event where he shared his joy and even showed off a baby gift.

Skarsgård had previously expressed enthusiasm for becoming a parent in a 2017 interview, humorously noting his father's large family and his own desire to have children.
