Under the agreement, FilmNation will assist SK Global with the development and packaging of its feature film projects. Additionally, FilmNation will present select SK Global productions for sale in the international market.
One of the first projects to emerge from this collaboration is Reykjavik, a historical thriller set during the 1986 Reykjavík Summit between President Ronald Reagan and Mikhail Gorbachev. The film boasts an impressive cast, including Jeff Daniels, Jared Harris, and J.K. Simmons.
According to the companies' executives, the partnership aligns with their shared commitment to "bold storytelling, ambitious filmmaking and championing fresh voices." With FilmNation's global expertise and SK Global's diverse slate, the two entities are poised to deliver compelling stories that resonate with audiences worldwide.
