Christine Brown was the first to leave the plural family structure in November 2021, followed by Janelle in December 2022. Meri Brown and Kody also ended their marriage around the same time, with their joint statement emphasizing kindness and continued family healing. Kody Brown is now solely married to his fourth wife, Robyn Brown.

Adding to the significant shifts for the TLC series, Kody and Robyn Brown will not be returning for the upcoming season after 16 years of filming.
