Summary

- Nearly £1.4 million raised over 25 years.
- Hundreds of singers from over 40 choirs participate annually.
In 2026, Sing for Water commemorates its 25th anniversary, marking a quarter-century of raising funds for clean water and sanitation. The annual event, co-founded in 2002 by the Thames Festival Trust and Helen Chadwick, unites up to 500 singers from more than 40 choirs across the United Kingdom. These performances take place along the River Thames as part of the Totally Thames festival each September.
To date, Sing for Water has generated nearly £1.4 million, directly supporting WaterAid's vision of a world where everyone has access to safe water. The initiative connects individual singers, each raising a minimum of £50, with the tangible impact of improving lives and fostering community development. This year's event is notably hosted in the courtyard behind the OXO Tower, with Sharon Durant and Ben See leading the choral ensemble.
