The season premiere, titled "Thrifty Ways to Thieve Your Mother," delves into the growing trend of thrifting among young people, as Lisa raids Marge's closet for vintage fashion with the help of her classmates. Meanwhile, Homer becomes engrossed in a Reacher-like series called Clincher, reflecting the rise of "dad TV" in popular culture.

"Ideally, I would like to think that people on both sides of our divided nation can watch The Simpsons and feel that, like America, Springfield is a town of people who are good, but easily misled," he says.
