Sikh Superhero Film Debuts: 'Turban is my crown'

Flex Singh, a director from Wolverhampton, has launched "Ninth Master: Way of a Warrior," a martial arts action film that he states is the world's first Sikh superhero movie in the English language. Singh expressed his desire to represent his community in the best way possible, noting a lack of representation growing up. The film emphasizes themes of courage and discipline, grounded in modern British life.

Singh, who also wrote and starred in the film, highlighted the significance of the turban as a symbol of identity and responsibility. He aims for the movie to inspire all British children, particularly Sikh youth, to embrace their heritage and feel a sense of belonging. The story follows an orphan child who, after being bullied, learns martial arts from a sensei to protect himself and others.
