East Tennessee artist Sierra Hull is experiencing a career surge with four Grammy nominations for her independent album, 'A Tip Toe High Wire.' This recognition comes after Hull, a renowned mandolinist, parted ways with Rounder Records in 2020, having signed with them at the young age of 13. The multiple nominations for categories including Best Bluegrass Album and Best American Roots Song have validated her independent artistic journey.

Hull admits she is still processing the nominations, having anticipated perhaps only one nod. She emphasizes that even without wins, the past year has been highly successful. The six-time IBMA Mandolin Player of the Year is focusing on staying grounded amidst the accolades, viewing them as confirmation of her chosen direction.
