Shudder Acquires Tense Thriller "Hellcat"

Shudder has secured the North American distribution rights for "Hellcat," a new psychological horror thriller directed by Brock Bodell. This film marks Bodell's feature directorial debut and was well-received at its premiere at the Fantasia International Film Festival.
The plot follows Lena, a character who regains consciousness with a severe wound inside a moving camper trailer. She is informed by the driver that they have only one hour to reach medical assistance before her condition becomes dire.
Dakota Gorman leads the cast, which includes Todd Terry, Liz Atwater, Jordan Mullins, and James Austin Johnson. Blue Finch Films, handling international sales, has also finalized distribution deals for Germany and the MENA region, with their own releases planned for the U.K., Australia, and New Zealand.
Shudder, known for its extensive horror content, intends to release "Hellcat" later this year. The streamer, available in several countries including the U.S., Canada, and the U.K., aims for approximately 30 film releases annually.
