Shruti Haasan's Heartbreaking Pet Adoption Story

Actor and singer Shruti Haasan has disclosed the emotional reasons behind rehoming her Persian kitten, Aslan. Approximately three months prior to 2026-08-10T12:18:53+00:00, Haasan joyfully welcomed Aslan into her home. However, within two days, she experienced a severe skin reaction, manifesting as rashes and boils on her face.

After consulting a dermatologist, Haasan discovered that the kitten's fur and saliva were triggering her allergies. Despite implementing various measures like trimming Aslan's fur, using air purifiers, and altering his diet, the allergic reactions persisted. These symptoms began to negatively impact her professional commitments, skin condition, and overall mental state.

Following a particularly severe reaction after returning from Chennai to Mumbai, Haasan concluded that she could no longer keep Aslan. She described this as one of the hardest decisions she has ever made, admitting to immense guilt and pain over saying goodbye. Haasan emphasized that such situations do not represent failed adoptions but sometimes necessitate finding a more suitable environment for the animal's well-being.

Despite this emotional setback, Shruti Haasan continues her active career in acting and music. She is currently focused on ensuring Aslan finds a safe and loving permanent home, requesting support and well wishes for the kitten from her followers.
