Shreya Ghoshal Revisits Iconic 'Bairi Piya' Phrase

Singer Shreya Ghoshal is embarking on a new musical chapter by releasing a song titled 'Bairi Piya.' This title holds profound significance as it echoes the phrase from her debut Hindi cinema track recorded in 2002 for the film Devdas. Ghoshal announced this deeply personal project on Instagram, highlighting it as a reflection of her artistic evolution and a quest for freer expression.

The forthcoming song marks a meaningful full-circle moment for the acclaimed singer, who first gained prominence after being discovered by director Sanjay Leela Bhansali on the reality show Sa Re Ga Ma. She recorded the original 'Bairi Piya' at the young age of 16. In addition to 'Bairi Piya,' Ghoshal lent her voice to other songs in Devdas, including 'Dola Re Dola' and 'Silsila Ye Chahat Ka.' The new 'Bairi Piya' is slated for release on September 25th, and fans can pre-save it now.
